Jizo is the guardian of travelers while An means cottage or 'quiet retreat', hence travelers cottage. Being built in a alleyway of only 5 houses ensures that Jizo-An guests will have their quiet space without sacrificing its central position. The house is, in fact, located in the temple district of Kyoto, adjacent to Kyoto’s Higashiyama tourist area. Kyoto's famous gardens, temples, antique shops & restaurants are all within a few minutes walk. The area around the house is steeped in Kyoto history. 
Also, very importantly, everything you may need, from grocery stores, drugstore, cafes, post office, medical clinic, pizza, liquor store, fruit and vegetable market is less than one minutes walk.
