Gion Ryusen is a traditional Kyoto Machiya located near Gion-Shijo. It has been lovingly restored with a traditional style and furnished with modern amenities. Right in the middle of a closely-knit district, this house offers our guests a unique, authentic experience of what it is like to live inside a Japanese neighborhood!  Gion Ryusen can comfortably accommodate up to five guests in its two bedrooms; One in traditional Japanese-style with tatami flooring and futon bedding and one with wood flooring and two Western-style single beds. The house is quite close to the Gion District, a main sightseeing area with plenty of stores and restaurants, and a short walk away from some of the most famous sites in Kyoto such as Kiyomizu Temple (UNESCO world heritage site), Yasaka Shrine and the downtown Kyoto area.
